There was an F12 in the Safeway parking lot near my house. It's a lot smaller in real life than I thought.

Does the back remind you of a uterus in real life?

Damnit it does. Cannot be unseen.

The 599 hides its uterus better.

Kinja'd!!!

Plus you can sometimes find one for sale that has a gated shifter.

YOU'RE WELCOME

Now you won't feel so bad that you don't have $400K for a new F12

That was the very first thing I noticed when I saw pictures of the car way back when it was first unveiled. Can't unsee.

It's a very odd design.

Ferrari seems to do something odd to either the front or back of each recent car.

The 458 has the weird front end. The F12 the weird back end.

The original California had the weird back end that they fixed in the redesign.

The FF might be the only recent car that they kind of nailed the first time around. It looks weird to people that don't like shooting brakes but most people that do tend to like the F12.

I like the GT car proportions of the F12 though it looks a little heavy, the California just looks kind of... meh, and the 458 has a nice supercar vibe, but I still can't get myself to actually LIKE how it looks. The FF is a nice car, bad Ferrari IMO. I'm also not a fan of the long swept-back headlight thing Ferrari is doing right now. And I genuinely hate the looks of the Ferrari TheFerrari. It's not even a knee-jerk reaction thing. I've looked taken a good look at it and I just hate it.

And it is heavy! I think around 4000 lbs. But it makes up for it with lots of power.

I don't really like the long swept-back headlight thing either. I keep trying to like it but I still don't. I didn't like that design theme on the BMW E60 and I still don't like it now.

I want to like the FerrariTheFerrari's looks but I don't.

The F430 and 599 are my favorite looking Ferraris made 2000 or later.

The 458 rustles my jimmies whenever I see one. Especially the Spider...Gawd that's gorgeous.

I don't like the front end of the 430. The Scud looks a bit better.

And I don't know what it is about the 599 but I just don't like it that much. I'm far more partial to the 575M.

Haha so funny how the design details look to different people. I like the front end of the standard F430 more than the Scud and more than the 458.

I like the front of the standard 458 more than the Speciale. And I don't hate the front end of the 458. I like some of the design details. I just don't like the mustache area. But it looks better than the odd changes made to the Speciale, at least to me. And I like the headlights of the F430 a lot more than the 458's headlights.

I really like the side profile of the 458, the 3/4 view and the back. The 3/4 view is pure sex. I can forgive the front end design because this section makes me want to marry the car.

Kinja'd!!!

The lack of the stick is the big reason I'll probably never buy one. I would be stretching to buy an exotic car. Having to pay for a transmission replacement out of warranty would kill me. I've been reading about transmission issues on FChat. Some owners had failures after their warranty expired. Some had failures before the warranty expired but weren't covered because they tracked their cars.

Gated shifters aren't just cooler, it's safer to go stick!

If I was extroverted enough to drive one of those around town, I'd just go all the way & paint that section of the tail pink.

Also, in that last shot you can just spot the flatbed trailer that accompanies the car at all times in case of fire or breakdown during normal use, as R&T experienced. ;)

At least the revised one does.

Which means the F12 will be perfect once Ferrari revises it.

Speaking of which the F30 gets revised soon. Which means the M3 will get revisions only a year or two after it launched.

Oh yeah, I could NEVER imagine getting a Fezza that doesn't have a gated shifter!

That's why it's 456 6MT for me.

I want an older model too with a 5 speed dogleg gated shifter. That would be pretty badass

The Testa Rossa has a dogleg shift pattern, right? I know the F40 definitely does..

I'm pretty sure it does. I believe all their cars from the 80s had 5 gears and that all of them used the dogleg shift pattern.

The F40 had the straight cut gears too.

Kinja'd!!! Saracen > Manuél Ferrari

Yeah, probably all had the same transmission.

The straight cut gears doesn't surprise, the transmission dominates the interior cabin noise in the videos I've seen.
